The Goose Creek Rural Fire Department is a combination paid/volunteer fire department in Berkeley County, South Carolina. Our primary coverage area is the unincorporated areas of Goose Creek. We provide full-time coverage with both part-time and volunteer staff. We protect a district of over 20,000 residents.
Job Position Description
The position of Volunteer Website Administrator is an entry level or above position. The Volunteer Website Administrator will be responsible for keeping all content on the Goose Creek Rural Fire Department website up to date.
This position requires someone capable of adding and deleting web copy, videos, and photographs. The Website Administrator also will be responsible for communicating and creating a strong relationship with Fire Department staff, and the web developer and designer.

Responsibilities include:
- Serving as a point of contact for the Fire Chief and staff wishing to edit content on the website.
- Establishing a strong relationship with external partners.
- Developing an understanding of the needs of the Fire Department.
- Able to articulate the message and brand established by the Fire Department and its marketing partners.
- Keeping website content up to date.
Qualifications
- Experience using WordPress is preferred
